Bespoke Bedrooms is a trading name of Posh Design, Birmingham, Company No. 13119106. The people who read what you send through this site are the same designers and makers who would draw and build your room. We are the data controller for this site, which is the legal way of saying that responsibility for your details sits with us.

The studio and workshop are at Unit 5B, Waterside Business Park, 1651 Pershore Rd, Stirchley, Birmingham, B30 3DR. This page covers what we collect, why, where it lives, how long we keep it and how to make us correct or delete it. It is written to be read, not scrolled past.

What we collect.

Almost everything we hold about you, you typed. Details reach us these ways:

An enquiry. The three questions, the quick enquiry forms on the pricing and product pages, and the Look Book request all reach the same studio inbox. Depending on the form, that is your name, email address, phone number, postcode, the kind of room you are planning, when you hope to start, and anything you write in the message box.
The Journal list. Your email address, and nothing else.
Writing to us directly. If you email, phone or WhatsApp the studio, we keep the correspondence, the way any studio keeps its letters.
Technical logs. Like every website, the servers this site runs on keep short-lived security logs, which include IP addresses. They exist to keep the site working and safe. We do not use them to identify visitors.
Usage, only if you say yes. If you accept analytics on the cookie card, two measurement tools count visits and show us how pages and tools are used, held against a random identifier rather than your name. Say no and neither one runs.

An enquiry also records which page you sent it from and, if you arrived through a link carrying campaign tags, which campaign brought you. That tells us which pages earn their keep. It is not tracking: nothing follows you around this site or any other.

What we use it for.

To answer you. An enquiry gets a personal reply within one working day, and the details you gave are what make that reply useful: the room, the postcode, the timing.
To design and make your room. If we go ahead, your details move into the project paperwork: survey notes, drawings, the quotation and the order.
To send the Journal letter, only if you asked for it. Every letter has an unsubscribe link that works first time. Or reply saying stop, and a person takes you off the list.
To keep the books straight. Invoices and accounting records are kept because the law requires it.

In legal terms: answering an enquiry and preparing a quotation are steps taken at your request before a contract. Running the site securely and knowing which pages work are our legitimate interests. The Journal list and the optional analytics cookies run on your consent. The accounting records are a legal obligation.

What we never do.

We do not sell, rent or swap your details with anyone, for any reason.
We run no advertising pixels, no ad-network cookies and no retargeting, in any state. The one optional category, analytics, switches on only if you say yes on the cookie card, and saying no changes nothing about how the site works.
We do not profile you, score you, or feed your details to advertising platforms.
Nobody buys our list, because there is no list to buy. A designer might ring you about your room. That is the only call your enquiry will ever cause.

Where your details live.

Everything you send is stored in the studio’s own system, not in a marketing platform, and access is limited to the team, each with their own account.

Three companies process data on our behalf to keep that system running, each under a written data processing agreement: Vercel, which hosts the website, Neon, which hosts the database, and Resend, which delivers the email notification telling a designer you enquired. If you said yes to analytics, two more join them: Google Analytics, and PostHog in the United States. Some of these providers are US companies. Where details leave the UK, the transfer is protected by the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, that conversation also lives with WhatsApp under its own privacy policy. Our reviews live on Google and Trustpilot under theirs. We link to those platforms; we do not send them anything about you.

Beyond those processors, your details leave the studio only if the law requires it, for example a legal obligation or the defence of a legal claim, or with your clear permission.

How long we keep things.

An enquiry that does not become a project is deleted within two years of our last exchange.
If we make your room, the project record, including drawings, correspondence and the order, is kept for the life of the guarantee, currently 10 years, so we can honour it.
Accounting records are kept for six years after the tax year they belong to, as HMRC requires.
The Journal list holds your email until you unsubscribe. Then it goes.
Analytics identifiers last as long as the cookies page says, and clearing them is one click on that page.

Your rights.

UK data protection law gives you real teeth here, and we will not make you fight for any of it. You can:

ask for a copy of everything we hold about you
have mistakes corrected
have your details deleted
limit what we do with them while a question is being resolved
object to any use we base on legitimate interests
take your details away in a usable format
withdraw consent at any time, for example by leaving the Journal list or switching analytics off on the cookies page

Email info@bespokebedroom.co.uk with what you want and we will do it, usually within days and always within a month, as the law requires. We will not charge you and we will not make it awkward.

If you think we have handled your details badly and we have not put it right, the regulator is the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk. We would ask you to tell us first so we can fix it, but that is your choice, not a condition.

Cookies.

This site asks one cookie question: whether to switch on analytics. Nothing optional is set without a yes, a no is remembered just as firmly, and a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser counts as a standing no. The full inventory, with names and lifetimes, is on the cookies page.

When this page changes.

If how we handle details changes, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it. We will not quietly widen what we do with what you have already given us: a real change in use would be told to you directly, not slipped into a page you read once.
