Every commission begins with your room and how the furniture needs to work. We measure the intended position, design the piece with everything around it, show you a photo-real render, then make it in our own workshop and fit or deliver it as the commission requires.

Integrated, floating or freestanding.
A dressing table can sit between wardrobes, fill an alcove, float clear of the floor or stand as an individual piece. The right form comes from the wall, the available walkway and whether the furniture should move with you later.
The mirror, lighting, sockets, chair and drawer contents are resolved at the same time. That is what makes the finished piece feel composed in the room and comfortable to use every morning.

The layouts
Four ways to draw the piece.
There is no standard arrangement. We draw the piece around the wall, the furniture beside it and the way you will use the room.
Built into a wardrobe run
The table becomes the quiet centre of a fitted elevation, with tall storage either side. Door lines, drawer gaps and the mirror all share one datum, so it reads as one designed wall rather than a desk placed between wardrobes.
Fitted into an alcove
An alcove can take a wall-to-wall top, shallow cosmetic drawers and a mirror sized to the opening. Scribing the ends to the plaster removes the little gaps that make an off-the-shelf desk look temporary.
A floating vanity desk
A wall-hung top and drawer gives the chair room to tuck away and keeps more floor visible. The wall construction, cable route and load all need resolving before the piece is made.
A freestanding dressing table
Freestanding is right when the piece should move house or sit against a clean wall without surrounding joinery. It can still be made to an exact width, finish and drawer arrangement, and drawn to belong with the wardrobes.

The mirror is not an accessory. It is part of the drawing.
Light from behind your head casts a shadow across your face. A useful dressing position needs the mirror, task light and sockets considered from the start, with cables disappearing through the joinery rather than across the top.

The brief
What makes a dressing table feel right.
The outside is the easy part. These are the decisions that make the piece comfortable and keep it useful after the room is finished.
What lives in the drawers
Make-up, hair tools, jewellery and everyday skincare want different depths. Naming the contents before drawing the fronts stops the neatest drawer becoming the least useful one.
The route past it
A chair left out changes the room. We check the walkway to the bed, wardrobe doors and ensuite with someone seated, not only with the furniture tucked away.
Heat and hot tools
Hair tools need a sensible resting place, cable route and surface specification. They should not be balanced on a painted edge or stored hot in a closed drawer.

A dressing table can be commissioned on its own or designed into a complete fitted bedroom. Width, drawer layout, finish, mirror, lighting, power and installation are set from your brief, then quoted for that piece. Where it forms part of a larger scheme, our fitted bedroom schemes start from £6k including VAT as a guide and move with the furniture and specification the room needs.

Can a dressing table be built into fitted wardrobes?
Yes. It can sit between two wardrobe sections, finish one end of a run, or turn a corner into a dressing position. Building it into the same elevation lets the door lines, worktop, mirror, lighting and power be designed together.
Do you make floating dressing tables?
Yes, where the wall and the design suit one. A floating drawer unit keeps the floor clear and can make a small room feel calmer, but it still needs proper support, a planned cable route and enough knee space for the person using it.
Can you include an illuminated mirror and sockets?
Yes. Mirror lighting, sockets, switches and charging positions are planned into the drawing and coordinated with the electrical work. The final scope depends on the room and is set out in the quote.
Do you make a single bespoke dressing table?
Yes. A single fitted, floating or freestanding dressing table can be commissioned on its own. Send the room, approximate dimensions, storage requirements and the look you have in mind, and we will design and quote the piece from that brief.
Can you fit a dressing table into an alcove?
Yes. We can make a wall-to-wall top with fitted drawers, scribed ends and a mirror sized to the opening. Lighting, sockets, chair clearance and the route past the alcove are all resolved before manufacture.
