A working room designed around the work

Fitted home office furniture, drawn around your working day.

A desk is only the middle of a good home office. Screens, printers, files, calls, lighting, cables and the moment the room has to become home again all belong in the same measured drawing.

Made to measure in Birmingham

Designed, rendered, made and fitted by one team.

Every commission begins with your room and how the furniture needs to work. We measure the intended position, design the piece with everything around it, show you a photo-real render, then make it in our own workshop and fit or deliver it as the commission requires.

Built around your room

A desk is only the middle of the room.

We begin with what happens at the desk: the number and size of screens, whether calls need a calm background, where paperwork accumulates and which equipment must remain within reach. That working list sets the width, depth, storage and cable routes before the elevation is styled.

The result can fill a complete wall, tuck into an alcove, give two people separate positions or close behind doors when the workday finishes. It is made to the room, so awkward corners, sloping ceilings and uneven walls become part of the design rather than gaps around it.

Possible configurations
01Floor-to-ceiling office wall
02Desk fitted into an alcove
03Two-person workspace
04Study with bookshelves and filing
05A home office that closes away

These are starting points, not fixed models. Dimensions, storage, finish and detail are drawn specifically for your room.

The layouts

Four ways to draw the piece.

There is no standard arrangement. We draw the piece around the wall, the furniture beside it and the way you will use the room.

The full office wall

A generous desk runs between full-height cupboards, drawers and open shelves. Files and equipment stay close to the working position while the whole elevation reads as furniture, not a collection of office units.

The alcove workstation

A wall-to-wall top, shallow drawers and shelves turn a difficult recess into a focused place to work. The ends are scribed to the plaster and the cables leave through the furniture instead of crossing the desktop.

The two-person study

Two chairs need more than a longer top. We set individual knee space, screen positions, power and task lighting, then decide what storage is shared and what each person should reach without interrupting the other.

The office that closes away

Pocket, bi-fold or hinged doors can conceal a compact workstation, charging shelf and paperwork at the end of the day. The open doors, chair and ventilation all have to work in the room before the closed elevation can look effortless.

The working detail

Power and data belong in the first drawing.

A clean desk is not created by adding a cable hole at the end. We record every screen, dock, charger, printer and router, then give power blocks, transformers and excess cable somewhere ventilated and reachable to live.

DesktopDepth set by the screens, writing space and equipment actually used
PowerSockets and charging positioned where plugs remain accessible
CablesA continuous route from desk to power, data and concealed equipment
LightingTask and shelf light placed to avoid screen glare and hard shadows
The brief

Design the office for Tuesday afternoon.

The right brief describes a real working day, including the untidy and inconvenient parts. These four decisions shape almost every successful fitted office.

The equipment list

Measure the screens and name the dock, printer, speakers, router and chargers. Equipment dimensions decide the useful desktop and prevent ventilation or access becoming an afterthought.

The chair and movement

Chair arms, recline and the route behind the desk determine knee space and walkway clearance. We draw the chair in use, not pushed neatly underneath.

What must be reached

Daily stationery wants a drawer beside the hand. Archive files can sit higher or further away. Separating immediate, weekly and occasional storage keeps the working position calm.

What happens after work

A dedicated study can remain ready. A guest room or living space may need the office to disappear. The closing routine changes the doors, shelves, cable management and chair storage.

The commission

What is included.

The piece follows the same route as a complete room. The people who draw it can speak to the people making it, and the people fitting it already know the drawing.

The investment

Priced as furniture, not a module.

A fitted home office can be commissioned as one alcove desk, a complete working wall or a full study with several elevations. The width, storage, finish, equipment, lighting and installation are set from your brief, then quoted as one piece of work. Straight answers

Fitted home office furniture questions, answered plainly.

The answer sometimes depends on seeing the wall. Where it does, we say so.

Can you build a fitted desk into an alcove?

Yes. We can make the desktop wall to wall, scribe it to the plaster and add drawers, cupboards, shelves, lighting and concealed cable routes. The opening, chair clearance and sockets are measured before the piece is drawn.

Can a home office be hidden behind doors?

Yes, where the room gives the doors and chair enough space to work. A concealed office can include a desktop, shelves, power and charging, but it also needs ventilation and a practical place for the chair when the doors close.

Do you design fitted home offices for two people?

Yes. We plan two working positions around the actual screens, chairs and storage, with separate power and lighting. A two-person office may use one long desk, opposing walls or an L-shaped arrangement depending on the room.

Can you conceal computer and monitor cables?

Yes. Cable routes, power access and ventilated positions for docks, transformers and routers are designed into the furniture. We keep the important connections accessible so equipment can still be changed later.

Do you make a single bespoke office desk?

Yes. A fitted, floating or freestanding desk can be commissioned on its own, or designed with full-height storage and shelving. It follows the same measure, design, render and making process as a complete room.
