Fitted wardrobe
cost calculator.

Choose the kind of room, its scale and the finish. The result is a published-data market band with the assumptions on show. No email gate, no suspiciously cheap teaser price, and no claim that a calculator can see your walls.

£3,900 to £7,000

Built from published UK market data. The Which? trader survey (Nov 2025), Checkatrade cost guides (tables dated May 2024, checked August 2026) and trade per-metre bands, with the larger bands derived from the per-metre figures. It is a market range, not a Bespoke Bedrooms quote: your room, your walls and your interior fit-out move the real number in both directions.

What the number means

A market range,
not a sales lead.

Most online wardrobe calculators are quote forms wearing a calculator’s clothes. This one gives the result first and shows where it came from.

The starting bands

Which? recorded bespoke three-door equivalents from £1,500 to £7,000 and four-door equivalents from £3,900 to £10,000 in its November 2025 trader survey. Checkatrade’s 2026 fitted-wardrobe guide puts a typical three-door job around £3,250.

The finish adjustment

Sprayed paint holds the source band. A paint-and-veneer mix adds 20%; a veneer-or-timber-led scheme adds 45%. These are visible planning adjustments, not hidden pricing rules or a promise about any one maker.

The things it cannot see

Drawer count, lighting, glazing, roof slopes, crooked plaster, access and making good all move a real quote. So does what “fitted” includes. Use the band to test a number, then compare specifications line by line.

Three worked examples

What changes
between the bands.

01

A straight alcove

One short run, conventional height, painted doors, rails and shelves. It belongs near the lower band while the access is easy and the interior stays simple. Add a drawer stack and lighting and it moves before the outside changes at all.

02

A full bedroom wall

Wall to wall and floor to ceiling, with a balanced mix of double hanging, drawers, long hanging and overhead storage. Painted, in a normal room, this is the useful middle of the market rather than a “from” price.

03

The wall that looks the same

Now put the same doors under a slope, add veneer interiors, glazed sections, LED lighting and a second return wall. The photograph still says wardrobes. The survey, bench time, materials and fitting say a different job entirely.

Compare quotes properly

The seven lines
that should be written down.

A total is not comparable until the specification is. Ask each company to name the carcass and back-panel material, the door construction and finish, every drawer and internal fitting, lighting and electrical work, removal of existing furniture, fitting and making good, and the guarantee. If one quote is thousands cheaper, those seven lines usually explain it.

Ask when the number becomes fixed. A range after a proper survey is honest. A fixed quote after agreed drawings is useful. A precise price before either is usually modular, provisional, or missing enough detail to move later.

Finally, ignore the discount and compare the payable number. A “60% off” banner is not market data. If the sale ends on Sunday and begins again on Monday, the higher number never existed in any meaningful sense.

Questions people ask

Before you trust
the total.

How accurate is this fitted wardrobe cost calculator?

It gives a realistic UK market band, not a quote. The starting bands come from published Which?, Checkatrade and trade-guide data, then the finish choice moves that band transparently. A real quote still needs a survey because walls, access, interior fit-out and construction method change the work.

What is included in the estimate?

The estimate is intended to represent a supplied and professionally installed fitted wardrobe project at the selected scale. It is a market comparison, not Bespoke Bedrooms pricing. Electrical work, unusual access, structural work and premium specialist materials may sit outside the band.

Why is the price range so wide?

Two wardrobe fronts can hide very different builds. A simple painted run with shelves and rails is not the same job as veneered doors, drawer stacks, glazing, integrated lighting and a room with sloped ceilings. The range is more honest than a single average.

How much do Bespoke Bedrooms fitted wardrobes cost?

Our own fitted bedroom schemes start from £6,000 including VAT as a guide for a single bedroom: wardrobes, the joinery around them, design, manufacture and fitting by one team. We publish that separately from the independent market calculator so our pricing never quietly shapes the “average”.

Can I get an exact fitted wardrobe quote online?

Not for genuinely bespoke work. An exact number before the room has been measured is either provisional or based on a modular specification. We give a useful range after seeing the room, then an itemised fixed quote once the drawing and specification are agreed.
